Greek Shipowners Marinakis, Fragou, Chocolate Makers’ ION Offer 12 Fully Equipped ICU beds

ATHENS – Shipowners Vangelis Marinakis and Angeliki Fragou, together with the chocolate manufacturing firm ION, will cover all the costs of adding 12 new beds to the intensive care unit (ICU) at Nikea General Hospital.

The donation, which exceeds 1.5 million euros, includes the purchase of all the equipment needed, covers any construction work and spatial modifications needed, electrical and other installations, any medical and nursing supplies that are required and any incidental costs that may arise through the enlargement of the hospital’s ICU.

Health Minister Vassilis Kikilias thanked them all for their significant contribution to the strengthening of the Greek National Health System at a difficult time.
